Matt Taggert aka PCRV Live at Object Space Spokane 4.12.11.MOV

For years, Montana based artist Matt Taggert has been producing beautiful Fluxus inspired head rattling noise. For years he has been performing under the moniker PCRV (Pop Culture Rape Victim) but I think he is leaning towards just his name now. Anyway, I missed filming the beginning of his set but it worked out ok as towards the end you still get to hear the melodic bass loops and his use of Crank Sturgeon's "Crank In A Box " noise device. Interesting that fifty percent of the performers at this show were using Crank made devices and my friend Kentaro (thanks for driving dude!) and several other artists ended buying them. Underground merch for the underground culture and economy. It was a treat seeing Matt and Crank on tour together four years ago at the S.S. Marie Antoinette and opening for them this time around.
