  • @bjgmarin Compotism has the right idea, only use this web-site in order to actually find an Eastern Orthodox Church near you:

    h t t p : / / orthodoxyinamerica . org/lr_v10/locator . php

Just enter in your zip code and look for one near you. Go to one that is closest to you first.

  • @dannyeagle1975111 tell me when heretics didn't want to be right? what sect calls itself "orthodox"? also the orthodox sect is not "one" its a multitude of sects all autocephalous. I have talked to over 30 "orthodox" people and received 30 different answers.

Michael Cerularius started the Greek "orthodox" sect this is a fact, rejecting Papal authority in 1054.

“The Roman Church, which is the head of all the churches.” Victor of Vita (ca. 485 A.D.)

  • The Orthodox Church is not the Roman Church but is Catholic, "Whole, One" church. Orthodox means "right faith, right belief" and this name was chosen by the second ecumenical council in the 4th century that all Christian churches is Orthodox. Roman split away from this in 1054 A.D.

  • @bjgmarin And God bless you all!

  • @dannyeagle1975111 Thanks for your kind words! I am talking right now to my husband about it. I found St Basil the Great Orthodox Church is from the Russian Orthodox Church outside Russia. I am trying to be careful and choose one that has no ecumenical relation with the Catholic Church. Thanks!

  • @bjgmarin I had to search very hard and found a Ukrainian monastery in Northern Indiana. Do a search on the net for a local church and call the priest. I spent six months in the monastery to find my way out of the protestant church to the faith of our fathers.

  • @bjgmarin Thank you. I am just paralized of fear of getting it wrong again. Thanks for helping me!

  • @bjgmarin You need to keep trying if your heart tells you so. It means it is still eager for Truth. Orthodoxy is way beyond harsh rules and rituals. it is the way to inner freedom and Life :)

  • Thanks Compotism and Mishakol for replies

  • I am afraid to convert to the eastern orthodox, raised as a Catholic, but by reading the Bible, got to the conclusion that the state-religion or Catholic Roman state is wrong. So I left the Catholic Church, and went to the Baptist Church, there is seldom communion in my Church . I don't want to become a religious person again. I don't want to worship images, angels and saints, full of rituals but lacking the truth of Jesus in my heart. I want to leave my son a Church that keeps the truth faith.
