Actually, I can actually hear him getting to the line "These pasts at bay"

It would go something like this:

0:16 "Dear, I'll stay gold."

0:19 "Just to keep"

0:22 "These pasts at bay." (Gotta say it fast, though)

And then at 0:26 - on, I think he just repeats variations of "Just to keep" and "Dear, I'll stay gold."

A lot of hardcore vocalists write up huge sheets of lyrics and will do alternate versions live and on the album. Sometimes, things are left out just because the syllabication doesn't suit the song, but the artist doesn't want the track to lose its meaning.

@WarGoatForestWolf666 oh, really? why don't you listen to it and read what i wrote before you start talkin'? his lyrics in the booklet are just there for reading. these are the words he says and you can easily tell when you follow along. i've been listening to converge and similar music for a long time and i can make out these lyrics no problem, apart from the fact that i know how to scream very well!

@wackywaferjg you didn't "officially" figure out the lyrics, as only Jake Bannon knows the lyrics. I'm just saying, what he has written and what I hear are completely different. In this song and in several other songs where he does no "clean" vocals.
