After my quick Yamato build I started my next project.

1/2400 Gwazine by Bandai that was released in 1983.

Being a pretty old kit there is much room for improvements so I spent several evenings during the last week to detail that small spacecraft up.

I missed doing WIP tutorials so here is the corresponding video.

Enjoy!

Thank man. Cool. Nice channel. I've to check the videos out later!

  • I love this thing! and all the detail you put onto it looks incredible! I really can't wait to see the painted result of your work! I think you've got me addicted to these ship models though! lol

  • @HELLFIRExxIFRIT

    Thanks.

Some of the details were inspired by another gwazine build on a modelers blog (search for "yorita3 gwazine"). This build is much more complex!

  • 2:22 what a tool!

According to the ZeroGunz message boards you can buy a commercial product like that with defined blade distance. I haven't seen it at an online store though...

  • holy crap your skills are amazing

  • Just... awesome!

    Awesome video!

Those are some ingenious modeling tricks.

Way to pimp up an old kit!

    xD

Looking forward to seeing it finished!

I got the knife idea some ZeroGunz message board. They actually showed that you can purchase a knive including a set of double-tips in japan.

It's also great for producing small plastic squares like those I used to glue the rail wire on.

    Thanks for the comment!

    Plastic tubes from q-tips ^_^

The model got a bit heavier with the additions so the base was getting kind of unstable.

    It's just filling material.

  • What are those on the underside of the base stand?
