Ashley Yang - The Story of a Trans TSA Worker

Ashley Yang was hired by the TSA as a transportation screening officer, a job that is gender segregated. When the TSA found out Ashely was transgender, they told her she would have to work as a man and comply with the male dress code. She was required to cut her hair or wear a men's wig, use the men's bathroom and pat down male passengers who were routinely sexually harassing her.

This does not surprise me. I was "hired in" to the TSA last Summer and then told I needed to go through extensive psychiatric testing to prove I completed transition, even though I have had SRS almost 5 years ago.

I said f$%* and did not complete the job placement process, I refused the psychiatric tests which I felt was over and above what they would have screened for any other employee and am still unemployed.

@skanemermaid I don't like the she-males lifestyle period, they are entitled to full and equal rights under the law and I am entitled to not wanting one touching me or otherwise being in my life.

Their right to anonymity in a job that deals with the public doesn't trump my right to avoid these people.
