Potato patch! I've never grown potatoes but I saw a recent clip from Christian (theproducegarden) and thought it would be a nice one to try.

Dad bought the seed spuds for me and I've put about 68 in. ~42 Delaware and about ~36 Ruby Lou. I took the distances to plant them and hilling on board and then thought that they can just bloody well grow on their own. I may hill the soil when they get going...

I put a boarder around the patch just to define it a little and to stop kids from wandering into it. I use 90mm Storm water pipe, no glue.

The whole patch cost me nothing but time! Dad says I owe mum some of the spuds though when they Hatch.

We have Cooch grass (Bermuda Grass) and its roots are very invasive. I dug down with a pick to loosen it all up and then spent the next 6 hours removing it. If you don't get the suckers out it will start to grow again and infest your garden.
