Unicorn at Summer Sonic 2009, Japan

Unicorn talk to NME.com backstage at Summer Sonic 2009 near Tokyo, Japan.

Mixing up rock, pop, ska, new wave, punk and more, Unicorn were huge in Japan from the late '80s until they split in the early '90s. The members all went on to solo or production careers, most famously Tamio Okuda (the one who does all the talking here) - he's not only a successful solo artist but also produced Puffy AmiYumi and other top-selling pop acts. Unicorn re-formed in 2009 for a tour of stadiums and festivals, but hint at the possibility of new material.
