Actually, k0target, it WAS the wheels. They provide far greater leverage for the torque on the wheel to act on the axle due to the larger diameter, multiplying the force applied to the axle several times. The axle was NOT designed to handle this load, and failed in a predictable, spectacular and humorous manner. Had the owner invested in a heavier drive train instead of shoe-horning this onto the stock equipment, it may have held together.
Instead, his shizzle is now fizzle fo' rizzle, nizzle.
