I want to show you an awesome breakfast that I've created. I love this because I love granola! One thing about granola is it has a very high sugar content and dense in carbs. I ate this all the way up through high school. That is one of the reasons I gained lots of weight at that time.

So, I've created a raw granola which is great because it's made with sprouted sunflower seeds. That means it's high in nutrients and fiber and it's not really dense in carbs. It also has natural sugar and not coated with the traditional granola bars. Be sure to look in my Easy Veggie Meal Plans for this recipe.

I like to make these in bulk so I'm making enough for 4-5 servings. In the meal plans, it will be portioned out for the right calories of protein and fat for both male and females. I'm going to be doing the female version now.

I'm going to start with soaked sunflower seeds. They are raw, organic sunflower seeds that have been soaked in water for 12 hours.

Measure about 1/3 cup (for females). The other main ingredient is going to be raspberries (1/2 cup). Sometimes I use frozen, depending on the season. I'm using frozen now.

Next, add flaxseeds (1/2 Tablespoon). You can soak them so that they are gelatenous. This will help with binding the granola together. Next, add raisins (2 Tablespoons).

I like to use a little vanilla. I use alcohol free with the granola bars. If you are cooking, the alcohol will burn off, but since these are raw, I'll use the alcohol free. It will give it a bit of an odd flavor. Use 1/3 teaspoon.

Next, add 1/3 teaspoon of cinnamon. You'll add shredded coconut (1/2 Tablespoon). You can add a dash of mineral, sea or Himilayan salt to bring out the flavor. You can also add agave necar (1 tsp). You can also use stevia, dates or raisins.

You still want it to be crunchy, but want to still get the sunflower seeds chopped up.

It is all ready to go. You want it to be more like how regular granola is in consistency.

I'm going to spread this out on a dehydrator tray. This particular tray is a circular dehydrador. There are other kinds you can get as well.

Spread the mixture out and flatten as you go. When it dries, it will dry in clumps so it will be like the granola that you are used to. I use about 4 or 5 trays to get my granola dried out. It can take 12-24 hours to dry.

Once it's done, just scrape a spatula underneath it and store it in a container or bag in a dry area. It lasts about 2 weeks. You can pour some almond or hempseed milk for an awesome cereal!

The women's portion is about 340 calories and the men's is about 460-480.

This is a food processor I'm using with an "S" curve.
