  • Unbreakable ??? You don't know our 'creative' students !!!

  • Impressive stuff. You do not replace the transistor after each test, but the engineer. How come? :)

  • Set it up incorrectly with a hell of a lot of amperage and im sure it'll pop. nothing is unbreakable.

  • Extremely rugged eh. I can kill this and virtually any other power transistor on the market in less than 5 minutes :P

  • I hear it will be right around $700 per device

  • I did not notice liquid, To dissipate the heat it may have been nitrogen cooled or gas

    cooled instead.

  • I downloaded the PDF for this transistor but it didn't have input and output capacitances listed. It just said TBA. I'm assuming it's relatively close to the regular BLF578 but at $300 per unit one can't be too sure.

  • the copper Block they had that on was water cooled

from Rubber Hoses coming out of it .

Meaning It Stayed cooler then Reg Heat sinks

But still dead shorting it and it still lives is very Good

  • More creative marketing. Pulsed service, 20% duty cycle, liquid cooled, and a current limited supply.

Read the data sheet and notice no SSB ratings at all.

  • @SirMixAlotChannel oh of course, i mean for medical devices :)

i would never think of using such an item on a throwdown,

347 in the UK sat checking the mail :)

  • @bigpimp347 You do mean industrial service right? LOL
