  • So you just cook it until the water is gone?? I want to do this..

  • Your kitchen is AWESOME!

  • Home made lard is like gold in cooking. I sure do miss using it.

  • @Eveletta you kept it in the freezer so its not rotting so it should be fine.

  • I've had about 6 lbs of leaf lard cut up and stored in my freezer for about 3-4 months. I was wondering if it was still okay to use this fat to render lard or if it will have gone rancid, decrease the shelf life of the finished lard, etc. I've never rendered lard before so I have no idea whether or not I can still use this lard but it seems a shame to throw it away if it can still be used. I've searched on the Internet but can't seem to find an answer to this question.

  • Thank you for the video. I rendered about 15 lbs of pork fat and I'm loving the lard. Your video was very helpful. Keep making more videos. Wishing I had a lard press.

  • this is a great video! I hope you keep making videos, I am trying to become more aware of how to use the most of everything and know I use the fat for the pig we have butchered every year to make lard. I can not believe how great it is when I make pies.

  • what happens to the water? How long does a batch take?

  • Great title, ha! :-D

  • YUMMY!!
