I was walking in the historic center of Mexico City and came across this protest in front of the National Theater

  • Ahh, claro que si! You are correct! This does not represent you!

"Dozens of naked Mexican farmers took to the streets of Mexico City to protest against the former state governor, who they accuse of land stealing and human rights' violations."

As usual, in Mexico, they are non-wealthy, non-elite, non-Spainard-descended, working people and farmers, that dare to question the authority of their upperclass, governmental rulers! Shame on them!

  • Why is this a shame?? I know nothing of what they are protesting, or what may have been said at this or other demonstrations, but is it the nakedness you object to?

I see a group of people wanting their voices and issues to be heard which requires getting the attention of citizens and the media. One of the effective ways to do that is to get naked!

I see things on everyday Mexican television that could be considered questionable or offensive to those concerned with modesty!
