I think this game would have made an excellent movie...

@GravianS I'd LOVE to see that done proficiently, alas I just don't see anybody in H-wood willing to cough up the dough for such a thing. Streets Of Rage definitely did go about a pre- cyberpunk feel about it, at least during the last two games.

Actually, there is one way I could see this working. Fast forward the game's setting into a romanticized 80s or 90s cyberpunk not too distant future and suddenly the Punks, Ninjas, Mafia and Robots all make a hell of a lot of sense.
The games already had that sort of feel to them in the first place, what with one of the playable characters being a cyborg and the whole fighting your way through a factory of Terminator robots part.

@Nkatsikanis level 7 part 2 -- mechanical elevator. Directly BEFORE the bosse(s) (Particle or Molecule, or whatever/however many more there are depending on your difficulty)

@TheHikariOne lol it's funny you should say that haha I think someone actually made a pretty decent "mock" trailer for the game with custom remix lmao it's worth taking a look at =DD Check it out ^_^

SOR2?

@blackking614 Video game movies suck anyway, they just rewrite everything and make it absolute crap. With games nowadays getting more complex and competitive with movies in terms of cinematic s I think it's even more imperative to separate the two genres. Besides I couldn't see a good SoR script ever being written. 4 people run around town kicking the shit out of punks, ninjas and robots. That will translate REAL well.. It'll either be a shitty martial arts b movie, or a satire.

There should be a law requiring this music to be in all elevators...

@RBNinja Naw, this wouldn't really work as a metal song. Definitely more along the lines of industrial and digital hardcore (like Atari Teenage Riot). I think it's because everyone is preoccupied with the current "clean" and sophisticated synth sounds, and then try to make this song fit into that mold, when so much of its original character is in those "grimy" and abrasive sounds. All it needs is some modern proceesing power, not to be "cleaned up".
-
you know. this song always gets remade and it never seems to capture the amount of ass kicking the original has. I think its cause they always remix it into a techno song. I would like someone to remake this into a death metal song. I think that would do the trick.
Where is that picture in your "video" from? It's pretty cool!
