CCR is one of the only bands who to me could get away with covering songs in their own style, and still be true to and honor the original. I Heard It Through the Grapevine, Good Golly Miss Molly, and this classic: none of them sound much like the originals, but still stay lyrically and at least rythmically accurate to the classic versions, but are unmistakenly CCR.
