You people need to stop bashing the workers, first of all they're just doing their jobs, give them a break. Second of all you have no idea how tough and durable chicks and ducklings are. Ive personally seen day old chicks jump branch to branch in a tree and fall from 10ft up and be completely fine. If you don't believe me, look up "ducklings leaping from nest"
