I like how this shows that back around 1973 or so, the word "nerd" didn't have quite the same meaning it later took on, and was more of a general derogatory term, akin to "jerk."

great memories watching this while growing up in Red Bluff via cable........a bit of trivia the Raiders shirt that Humphrey has on was sent to the show by Sonny Barger ,head of the Hells Angels with a note that said "put this on the Dog" LOL

C: You know, if you leave the honeybees alone, they won't bother you! And besides, they're useful for pollenation and all that, and did you know that out of all the world's insects only honeybees produce food that humand eat, and -- uh... whoopsie. A honeybee just... landed on my... my back leg. Now if we leave him alone, he'll fly away.
H: Well, how bout if I kick him off?
C: No, don't -- ow.... OWW!!!
