@thibaulthalpern weight

@thibaulthalpern Because its hooked up to a less powerful test pump.
-
@thibaulthalpern the top flap is being pulled by gravity and the lower flap has to work against it
-
The first run is slow because they're bleeding the air out of the hydraulics. Otherwise is just slower than normal because a plane's hydraulic system is capable of much more flow than the test stand.
-
@thibaulthalpern it just because normally a plane generates much more hydraulic pressure to make the reverse thrusters move than they can generate on the ground
-
@thibaulthalpern its running on a test stand hydraulics. the aircraft hydraulics pump out a MUCH high GPM
-
He is sow slow because the reverser doesn´t have enought hydraulic pressure to be faster. In the aircraft each engine or electrical hydraulic pumps will supply 3000 psi. It will be fast closing and opening.
-
Sometimes the hydraulic actuators are of different size to make them fit in the engine cowling. Also because ground test uses a less powerfull hydraulic pump than the engine driven pumps you may get this effect.
-
Pull of gravity maybe?
That's just a big Storm Trooper helmet.

Is that why the bottom flap is slow, because it isn't mounted on a plane yet? Why would that be?
