my brother is going into the marines, swearing in next week and im scared to death that after this year ends (when he leaves) h's going to die. during that one quote it said "marines die...." i started bawling my eyes out. i dont want him to leave.

@captainhunter123 After reading a few past comments I must say this: The death toll hasn't reached 6,000. Not bad if you ask me! check out the stats of previous wars and tell me how bad it looks for yourself. We had over 5 times more casualties per day when we were beating down England in the Revolutionary. YEA, NO? Thought so...not too shabby! Go make sure you don't have recyclables in the trash can you socialist, I'll continue to live free! "Infantry leads the way!"

@FarmStats I'm by no means bashing the troops, just not impressed by marines after an experience i had in vietnam. The account is named in honour of one of my fallen comrades who was also my best freind. And Tolkeins works are without doubt among the finest literature pieces ever produced, i even had the pleasure of speaking with him once, a most inspiring man. In my old age there is little to do but use the computer and catch up with the friends i have left.....Need i say more?
