  • 1898? I used to think he was old and fat, but when all's said and done, he's looking quite well for his years.

  • The music goes so well with the film. Excellent !

  • good choice of music...

  • Could this be the oldest Christmas movie in existence?

  • i bet those kids are having ipods

  • There are at least five other versions of this film on YouTube, each with their own music scores, and at least one version with no music added at all. This edition easily gets my vote for best music score.

  • This film is so old, Charlie Chaplin was only about 9 years old when it was made!

While it's innovative for its time, notice that there are no closeups or cutaway shots in this film or other films of its period. It's sort of like watching a stage play with special effects. (That's just an observation, but not at all a criticism.) Inter-titles to indicate dialogue must have came at a later period as well.

  • Great music to an amazing video!

  • Such lovely music - thank you! :)
