Performance design! Nice vid...I think it's done with some sort of 3D plotter, that thing shes holding, then superimposed afterwards onto the actual video (you can see sometimes her hand goes through the thing).
And that chair emerging from magic goo...so weird, looks like a Rapid Prototyping machine...we have one at uni that uses powder, it's like magic. Bloody expensive gear though. Cool stuff;)
But it IS computer generated, like they're really just moving their hands around. Then they use some software to create the 3D lines, then from there they create the actual furniture. (At least that's what I saw on Discovery).
