Scape
Available now for iPad
http://www.generativemusic.com

Scape makes music that thinks for itself. From Brian Eno and Peter Chilvers, creators of Bloom, Scape is a new form of album which offers users deep access to its musical elements. These can be endlessly recombined to behave intelligently: reacting to each other, changing mood together, making new sonic spaces.

Can machines create original music? Scape is our answer to that question: it employs some of the sounds, processes and compositional rules that we have been using for many years and applies them in fresh combinations, to create new music. Scape makes music that thinks for itself.

If you are a lover of ambient music or a big fan of Eno's generative music philosophy you will be happy you purchased this app. I got it three days ago and I'm hooked. One unfortunate limitation is the inability to name the scapes you create. Also, it would be cool if an export audio/video function could be added as well to make the scapes portable.

-I would be very interested in trying out a version 2.0 of scape. I really love the unique interface and concept behind this "instrument".

I prevaricated before buying this but I am so glad I did. Really enjoying the experience, well worth the money. The more you play with it the more features appear.

Mr. Eno: Please make a free trial version of this app. I'm very interested, but I'd like to try it before I spend money on it.

A college prof of mine once told me he let himself locked in a room that was absolutely silent (It was below ground and belonged to a science lab) The first minutes it was relaxing but after a while the noise created by your body became really loud and distracting. Heartbeat, white noise created by your ear, fluids rushing thru your body). It was such a unpleasant feeling that he had to shut down the experiment.

I would pay for an app that generates true silence. Honestly. Too much noise and background sound already in this world...
