This is video 4 of 4 of the Sociological perspectives. Professor Pulver in this video talks about the Symbolic Interaction perspective and how this sociological theory explains how societies and cultures are created, how they are changed, how symbols, roles and understood meanings get set up among people and the role of influence in the creation of new meanings, values and understandings. This is the last in a 4 part series on Sociological theories.

  • Hi Professor,

I would like to thank you for uploading your video's on feminist perspective, functionalist perspective and conflict perspective. It is 1am in Canada i have a midterm tomorrow on introductory sociology - as an engineering student this topic is new to me. Your videos did an excellent job at allowing me to grasp the concepts.

    Thank you!
