i ended up getting 2 of the skytek ones in 12" and i took one out yesterday and i couldnot get it to the limit. is it normal with theese for the to get realy hot when there running

@Boomdoggles the only thing that should be getting hot is the heat sink on the back . yes that is normal.

Does anyone know???? I am debating among 4 kinds of 15" speakers for live music sound. JBL Eons, Electro Voice, black widow peavys, or Mackie's. Which ones would sound the best for clear, natural, studio quality sounding vocals, as well as clear bass and mids for all kinds of music. Any recomendations from anyone??

i own a pair of 15" soundking speakers, paid $250 each and they sound better the most speakers even ones made my JBL, AUDIOLINE not sure bout EV or anyothers as i have not compaired them but for the price i have paid they are really good and i have had comments from the crowd about how good they are. only downside is they r heavy but i guess thats becoz it has a big magnet. oh and they have a nice ABS plastic finish

Hire the gear your thinking about getting and see if its what you really need or want. Use opportunity like i suggested below to your advantage but don't be stupid about it only hire gear you need don't go over the top. The host may not like the bill you show them in comparison to your earlier quote. But if chance comes by try to hire gear that your thinking of buying and give it a real test out in a real situation. You can tell the chicks you own it. Haha, just jokes.

If you ever need bigger gear Hire it and add it to the cost of the venue. This is a much smarter way to go once the venues you do get to big. That dose not mean you should not DJ for it. Look at all the famous DJs out there they don't carry all their shit around if anything maybe just their racks or their own music sets. Just give the Host the receipt from the hire company to prove the extra expense, Quite often the maybe able to rite it off on tax as a business function. Good subject mate.

I'm looking at a pair of these and i have to agree with you. With technology these days they can pump them out of the factory faster with better materials than they used to have. So cheap without name brand doesn't mean shit anymore except to those that have already spent money. I agree if its a party requiring a DJ good chance people are going to be happy anyway and in good high spirits they don't give a shit about what gear you have. If they do look out you'll end up talking to him all night.

@SuperMovinghead It seems to me that you dont have a nice thing to say about anyones equipment looking at your previous comments on other videos, hating on a 13 year old on his first set of moving heads makes you a real big man doesnt it. At the end of the day im happy with my speakers and its not what youve got its what you do with it. If you have a problem have a chunter to yourself and leave it off youtube :o)

@SuperMovinghead I agree, but these really are awesome speakers, i heard and tested £700 passive speakers that can't hold a candle to the scytecs, brand names isnt everything, example... My HP Pavillion laptop, no end of issues and i still cant run VDJ in the settings i perfer. My old Acer Aspire witch cost £700 LESS has never let me down. Sometimes you pay more for the badge than the componants inside
