I play all three (You said Clarinet twice) plus bassoon, so I would know as well too when I say that a bass clarinet quartet sounds best as a bass clarinet quartet.

Well it would provide a little more difference in sound, but it wouldn't have the same power it does now. And LMAO all 4? You only said 3 instruments? Unless you meant another kind of clarinet.
