A part from Ajahn Brahm's talk on the Buddhist attitude to other animals. He is a senior Buddhist monk from the Theravada school, currently residing at Australia, as the abbot of the Bodhinyana Buddhist Monastery.

The full talk can be downloaded at the following address:

  • Lovely story. Thanks Ajahn Brahm!

  • morrissey was right, meat is murder

  • It is very rare that an animal cries...This story is very beautiful, it is compassion at its highest. That cow was a conscious, sentient being. It is very difficult for the western world to accept cows because they are meant to be eaten. We think of them as being stupid and without personality.
