a video-installation by BIOMECHANICSINC. (B) at ojc kompas, driekoningenstraat 48, 9100 sint-niklaas, belgium, saturday 19th of february 2011 - approx. 3PM to 6PM.
'tenebrio molitor' is a species of bugs / in the stadium of worms.
BIOMECHANICSINC. used a few dozens of these worms in this setup.
The aim was to use paper and natural colorants and water, dropped in 'dots' on the paper, and then let the worms do the rest. During this, two videocams were filming the process. Two photocams were used to make stills of it all. One videocam formed a closed videocircuit with a projector - a close-up frame projection was projected (projection view) - the recording camera captured the 'live' view : 'liveview'. 5 miniature drawings were made by the worms.
This video is a compilation of the footage made by the two videocams.
Some selection of stills can be found at http://biomechanicsinc.livejournal.com

STUDNA was a temporary art exhibition, going from 16th of february to 23rd of february 2011.
This particular video-installation was an experiment : we had no clue if it would work - a new setup will be done with a larger aim and result.
