It's the cheapest way to go!, $9.99 each at Target. I used a bailling wire and bend it to shape and cut. Then, I used cable ties and tied it to the front body posts. Wala!! Instant Light for night R/C Driving!!...thinking of getting another one (for the back, red led!) and just use double sided tape and tape it on the bed, closer to the back windshield! (30 hours on 3 AAA batteries!). These are quality LED Lamps!!

  • Its not heavy at all!

  • Target

  • @starchild417: any hardware store should have one! but get one that does not rust out!...go to your local grocery store, by produce and then ask for the metal wire that comes with the strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or black berries! those are guaranteed rust proof! Bale wires are use to bale recycable cardboards! again in any grocery store in the USA should have it. Those are cool because they are rust proof!

  • isn't it too heavy tho?

  • you could buy a battery tray and just mount that with a couple LEDs for real cheap.

  • it works alot bettr then those little tiny lights and it looks pretty sick . Thanks for the awsome idea

  • nicely done video and mod to the truck..... at first I thought you were going to show how to remove the LEDs from the headlamp to use on the truck. then, when u first revealed the front, I totally thought you were going to show that u had cut holes into the truck body that the headlamp fit out of only revealing the lights. thanks for giving me a couple ideas on how to make your concept a little better.

  • Where did u get the light at??

  • use the red as a rear light

  • MrGadgetDude!!! That is an excellent idea, thanks for the video!

I'm going to use RTV adhesive (black or clear) to hold mine in place, I tend to take several tumbles per charge.

You can find RTV Adhesive at any hardware or auto parts store. $3.99 per tube

  • Thanks so much for the info. I never would have thought to go to a supermarket! Awesome :)
