america has the most grueling racing circuit in the world. baja 1000. If u think thats good doing a 5 minute run around a track u been on before. No doubt it was great driving but i highly doubt that guy would make it a 1/10 the way through the desert at 130mph in a truck. Let alone for the guys that do it on motorcycles. They are the real hardcore racers.

@tekneek03 First gear is a gear like all the others.Even with my BMW diesel I can downshift into first without any problems ,you just need to watch the speed ;)

@shogunjosex it is possible to down shift and up shift with out using the clutch. synchronizing the rpm and the gear.

You must remember, the drive is a bigger part of those records, and the driver was Dominik Farnbacher, a European. I'm not taking anything away from the ACR; it's a damn great car, and my personal favorite, but I just like playing the Devil's advocate >:) . Europeans and Americans both have great drivers. Drag racing does involve a good bit of talent, but it's a 'common-man's sport. Comparing rally drivers to drag racers is absolutely retarded lol; like comparing apples to oranges.
