Switchblade Sisters (1975) (NOW AVAILABLE ON NETFLIX) - This high school female gang deals with betrayal, abortion, lesbian wardens, roller skate massacres, gang initiations, assassinations, teen sex, and the villainous Iago inspired character; Patch.

Director Jack Hill (Swinging Cheerleaders, Foxy Brown, Coffy, Spider Baby) is king of American Explotation/Genre films. Hill's style is polished and vibrant in all genres. If you like Tarantino; check out what masterpieces Jack Hill has to offer.

SPOILER ALERT: starts at 7:35

Truth be told: 'Coffy' (another Jack Hill film) is probably Tarantino's favorite exploitation movie. Source is: the 2002 bfi.org Sight and Sound Directors' poll. I said it was his "favorite" to get you to watch this great segment.

This is part the Rolling Thunder Pictures series.

  • LOL from 2:30 onward, it looks like TQuentin is riding on some mechanical chair that awkwardly swivels around. Great introduction/epilogue though, I'll have to check this film out

  • @aprizm Boy do i agree, bigtime. The camera work is just MTV level obnoxious. That is the first thing i noticed as well.

  • @aprizm

I agree, but I'm pretty sure the frantic camera motion a reference to '70s grindhouse films.
