Phil Lesh, from the Grateful Dead listens to a demo of the Pigtronix OFO Disnortion pedal. Parallel distortion is not common in a stompbox format, but Phil used to run each of his bass strings through its own channel in the WALL OF SOUND... he "gets it." Check out the layering effect we get from using a complex passive filter with diode clipping on the Fuzz channel and a simple, low pass filter with multi-stage clipping on the Overdrive channel. Add the Octava and you got DISNORTION!

  • Does Phil know where he is?

  • Awesome to see Phil still enthralled by sound.

  • I have been checking out tons of fuzz type pedals and just found this one. I am liking this Disnortion a lot because of the incredible range of tones and because of Pigtronix keeping things analog.
