  • It clearly was not a pin, if you look closely only one shoulder was down and it was a scramble situation, Ness never had control, he only had one leg, therefore it was still neutral and since there was never any change in control, no points should be awarded.

  • The refs have nothing to do with it. Although it may seem as though Ness was in control, he did not have control of Dennis' hips with two hands and weight on the legs. By definition, since this is not freestyle, as long as Ness didn't have control of Dennis' hips via both of his legs, the situation can be deemed a scramble situation and neutral position for both wrestlers.
