Getting assaulted in SoHo!

On Saturday, August 20th these two young ladies attempted to cut the line at a photo show opening in SoHo. Clearly drunk and underaged they were denied entrance and left in a cab. Unfortunately they returned shortly after and begain to assault their cab driver as they refused to pay their cab bill. The cab driver immediately began to call the police. Looking to avoid the NYPD ending an otherwise peaceful and fun party, I offered to pay the cab driver with a massive tip for his trouble (you can see an attempt at this in the video.)

At this point the two young women turned their anger toward me demanding "who the fuck are you". I asked them politely to leave at first as they were causing a scene and they proceeded to start assaulting me and hurling racial epithets at me (with about 100 witnesses on the entrance line watching) At that point I demanded they walk a block in any direction as they were repeatedly attacking me and charging at me.

I'm thrilled that we are in a digital age in which this sort of disgusting behavior does not go unseen as this sort of thing is quite common and 99.9% of the time the tiny drunk girl at the bar who feels comfortable picking a fight gets away with nothing more than a hangover. Hopefully this will discourage people from acting violently in public settings.

This situation has everything to do with having a skewed perception of self and the inability to accept rejection.

If one of the ways you identify yourself is by the power you think you have over situations or others, then your more likely to act out when that perceived power is taken away.
