Plagal First Tone
My apologies the video says 1st tone.

Lord,I have cried unto Thee, hearken unto me, hearken unto me, Lord I have cried unto Thee, Hearken unto me, attend to the voice of my supplication, when I cry unto Thee, hearken unto me O Lord.
Let my prayer be set forth as incense before Thee, the lifting up of my hands as an evening sacrifice, hearken unto me O Lord.
Set O Lord and watch me before my mouth and a door of enclosure round abour my lips.
Incline not my heart unto words of evil to make excuse with excuses in sins.
With men that work in iniquity and I will not join with their chosen.
The righteous man will chasten me with mercy and reprove as for the oil of the sinner, let it not annoint my head.
With my voice unto the Lord have I cried, with my voice unto the Lord have I made my supplication.

Personnally I think HTM translation resembles the Greek, very much. It's almosr like its in Greek.

  • @psteele555 Thank you very much. :)

  • @Fathreena In case you have not received the text: Lord, I have cried unto Thee, hearken unto me. * Hearken unto me, O Lord. * Lord, I have cried unto Thee, hearken unto me; * attend to the voice of my supplication, * when I cry unto Thee. * Hearken unto me, O Lord.

Let my prayer be set forth * as incense before Thee, * the lifting up of my hands * as an evening sacrifice. * Hearken unto me, O Lord.

  • @mhcampboy Because this is straight from the book of Psalms? :)

  • @weirdproductions09 It's not a song, it's a Hymn.

  • @SovietHolyMan I agree with most of what you have said i.e orthodoxy has absolutely nothing to do with nationality and by extension language usage in the liturgy, in the sense of faith. but truth is many non-greeks like some of those 90% orthodox people you mention actually do find greek great, as probably greeks find english or russian or assyrian great

  • Could anyone write for me the lyrics down? I will be very grateful. :) Impatiently waiting for a message.

  • Why is it, that these chants somehow brought me to His Presence most easily? Moveover Hillsong! lol

  • @chooseit2 Who said anything about Catholic or Anglican? Not I.

  • @SovietHolyMan alright you've made your point about the orthodox churches,

    but catholic and anglican?

orthodox is the true religion so why fuck it up by mixing it with other religions

and dont go on some bloody rant with stats

  • @chooseit2 10,737,428 est. Total population of Greece--- It is estimated that there are somewhere between 80 and 100 million Orthodox in the Russian Republic alone, and upwards of 300 million world wide. So yes Im saying 90% of Othodox dont speak Greek. By you own Implications the Greeks should learn English,Cyrilic,Chinese,Japanese,Spanish,Korean,Ethiopian and Arabic that would be a good start.
