Jim Lauderdale is a Grammy Award winning Blue Grass singer/songwriter and in January 2008 he visited Scotland to do some gigs at Celtic Connections. He supported Steve Forbert at the ABC and proved an unexpected highlight. This song is from his Grammy award winning album Lost in the Lonesome Pines. His website is www.jimlauderdale.com and this track has been included on the soundtrack of at least one film. His band are brilliant and on the night were supplimented by a Scottish fiddle player Laura McGhee.
I wish I could have been there. Jim Lauderdale is an amazing musician.

That's Todd Livingston on the dobro, John Frazier mandolin, David Spicher bass, Luke Bulla fiddle, Noam Pilkeny banjo, and Laura McGhee sitting in on this tune. Lauderdale is indeed a captivating artist.
