@crucibull Thanks. Yes, I was a bit of a pre-wrather/mid-tribber early last year. Some of the scriptures that got me away from that view, I mention here. I could never swallow post trib theory. Peace!

One thing: what is the point of sealing his people if they won't go through tribulation? I read Deuteronomy 6:4-9 where the Israelites are told to mark their heart, their mind, their forehead and their doorposts with his commands--described just like Rev 13:16-17 (mark of the beast in the hand and forehead) and Ex 12:23 (passover lamb's blood on doorframes). The Israelites stayed on earth yet were kept safe because of a mark; YHWH is consistent, so why will it be different in the future?

Scottie, if you answer the questions made by 1339girlisback you will see that your questions starting at 5:37 of this video are moot. I asked you to consider all the suffering by the children of God up to this point as tribulation being upon us for hundreds of years. The family of God has always suffered in the ways you say God would never allow His children to suffer.

OK remember that John wrote of the anticrists (plural, not singular). John wrote of people who were opposed to Christ, not a singular antichrist.

So why does John write in rev 1:3 that the time is near (or at hand). The time is near for those of the 1st century, not us. Yet in 1 tim Paul writes of his time is at hand which was true since he dies soon after.

Is not revelation used as symbolic in nature?

1 Thes Paul is speaking to those about who just died. Read the context of the passage, Paul is speaking to a group of followers and not a future group of believers.

In Matthew 24 Jesus is not speaking to us. He is speaking to the followers of His day. Notice the word usage. 2 “Do you see all these things?” Notice Jesus is using a present tense term of you. He is not speaking to future generations some 2000 years into the future but to His people.

What about all the saints that have already been crucified, stoned, burned at

the stake, beheaded, drawn and quartered etc.? That includes most of the

apostles. Why would only the end time church, the lukewarm church be

spared? These scriptures are not talking about saving our bodies, they are

referring to saving our souls from these things. The conflicting viewpoints

come from reasoning in the spirit and reasoning in the flesh. This sounds

good if you are reasoning in the flesh. God is spirit.

You present a great case by scripture picking, yet I think you are sincere in your belief, so may GOD help you see all of His Word from an entire epistle. Just one example. How can you use 1 Thes 4:13-18 for rapture theory, then jump to chapter 5:9 about not being appointed to wrath, yet verses 1-8 plainly state when they say peace & safety, sudden destruction cometh on them cause they are of the night, but THAT DAY should not overtake you, ur children of light.
