  • This is THE lineup I wish I could see!

  • It's a shame they were so turned off by touring back in the day, for me renditions like this are a 1000X more interesting than the sterilized note for note versions they rolled out after the reunion. For a band so disgusted by the limitations of live performances, they sure sound F-ing amazing. Skunk is ripping it out, wish I could hear the end of that solo.

  • Skunk Baxter, easily one of the great renaissance men of his generation. An American treasure that is often forgotten since he doesn't tour much anymore. Hard to believe that gushing bucket of soul on the guitar is a missile defense expert!

  • Skunk Baxter, ole boy!

  • That's a real band right there.

  • @snedgewick Agreed on all counts. Nelson, Fripp and Belew are absolute giants of the instrument.

  • The Skunk is the man. Nuff said.

  • I 've seen SRV live and was amazing. Will never grow out of him after that experience

  • @hellfiredonkey Nice to see civility recognized. The amount of idiotic childish bickering that goes on in these comments on youtube is quite mind numbing. And I agree, Bill Nelson is one of my favourite guitarists, much under-rated and virtually unknown though I do go towards rock with an edge. Adrian Belew is my all-time favourite, Discipline (King Crimson) with Robert Fripp is one of the greatest guitar albums of all time. Simply sublime. If you're reading this & never heard it check it out !!

  • I grew out of SRV and Jimi. I'm more of a BB King man now. And Clapton was only good in the late sixties.
