I'm sorry but I used the same technique for my first generation iBook. I thought it was ridiculous to buy an expensive case for it and so made my own with a padded envelope. That was back in 2000.

Did we seriously need to see the entire taping process??? Thank god the DIY channels you watch on tv don't make you sit through an entire room being painted...

I actually did that! I can't find any sleeves for it yet so that's what im using in the mean time, and it works, so thanks for the tip!
