It's legal to hunt kangaroos. Each state has different legislation but as long as you have the property owner's permission to hunt as well as killing them humanely (as quickly and painlessly as possible) you can hunt them all year round.

Sometimes farmers will even pay you to kill as many of them as they can destroy wheat crops when numbers go unchecked.

The meat is delicious, virtually has no fat and is more tender than your average beef steak.
