cant count the other teams out remember last Olympics sweeden beat canada then canada tied to germany but belarus beat sweeden? cant count out finland czecks USA

nobody went to the B pool, the USSR hosted the tournament the next year in Moscow, which was won by Canada.

anyway, the tournament was better in those days, before it began to get ridiculously over-hyped.

The Soviets didn't get sent to the B pool in the end, just google the 1988 world juniors.

Would be very entertaining but with all the NHL players today and no soviet union this will not happen in International hockey ever again or at least for awhile... Could happen between two NHL teams though.
