Stage: Living City
Weather: Sunny

There's not much to this stage. The only real threatening parts are the areas with those moving squares. It's easy to get crush by those; it happened to me several times while speeding through normal mode.

Choosing the snowy weather causes some spikes to be covered with snow and the platforms in the boss room to be disabled.

[Popola Cocapetri]
The room has 3 separate platforms, each will shift slightly higher for a short period of time.

[Rush Down]:
Cocpetri will attempt to rush you, shouting out "Kyakya!"

[Hop]:
Cocapetri's main mode of transportation in the battle. The hops don't go very far, but are considerably high.

[Glimpse of Time]:
Cocapetri will fire a holographic shot that travels horizontally across the room. This shot causes you to become petrified. Break loose by mashing your buttons.

[Pellet Toss]:
Cocapetri will jump and toss out 3 green pellet bombs that will release a deadly purple gas upon contact with a surface.

[Egg-Bot]:
Cocapetri will lay an egg that rolls around for a bit. The egg will then proceed to walk and jump around the room.

[Razor Feathers]:
Cocapetri will hop into the air and release a batch of 6 feathers that will zigzag down towards the floor.

[DESPERATION: Time Stopper]:
Cocapetri will jump up towards the center of the room and momentarily freeze time. He will then whirl around a bunch of green pellets in the air, covering all but one tiny area. Cocapetri will resume time and he and the pellets will fall simultaneously.

"Kyakya! Having trouble moving there, tough guy? Oh, I'm sorry. That's my fault! Now who can't do anything for himself? Kyakya!"

  • Popla is by far the EASIEST boss in the series

but his level is a SERIOUS pain in the ass

Zero: S-so much spikes and WTF ARE BLOCKS FLYING AT ME

    Popla: KYAAAA KYAAAA Suffer

    Zero: STFU..........................grunt

  • lol. Popla is actually somewhat difficult to get a no-hit on since most of his attacks come out instantaneously. I find Heat Genblem to be the easiest of the 8.

  • I think this boss is ridiculous.

  • @1holybladex the oxe with the is is called mino magnus and the wolf is called fenri lunaedge you know (>_<) how i know this when all i play is the original language version and not the english version i dont even know myself(the original language version=blood on the last hit bringing there hp down to 0 and slashing them inhalf

  • If that's a building, just get stairs, sheesh.

  • Popla is VERY hard to defeat without taking damage.

  • @RareSpectator True, Genblem was a breeze for me.

  • This is the mission I absolutely dread each run through the game, just because of the second last room with the upward shaft and moving blocks.

  • @RareSpectator no because of his stupid shell

  • i find the oxe with the axe to be fun the wolf too

  • Oh yeah i just learn that his desperation move has a nicer name:Devil Eye.
