talk about a slap in the face to me. they wait until AFTER I graduate to play a Lady Gaga tune for marching band? that hurts, Schneider. that hurts a lot.
That fellow who says that Great Britain doesn't have marching bands is wrong (I've been to the Edinburgh Tatto realistically many of the scottish bands could perform in London). What is true is that this parade, from what I've read, stresses the relationship between the U.S. and G.B. and actively invites whereas U.S. parades don't. That is unfortunate. However, don't make us sound so internationally out of touch: Rose Parade had a band from Japan and one from Mexico, Macy's a Guatemalan
@theironduke1 Because the British dont have marching bands. Ever think about that? obviously if they did they wouldnt have U.S. marching bands play in their parade. How about you open up your eyes and do some research before getting all worked up about it.
What I want to know is .... Why are American Marching Bands doing this in London, when the US could not care less about anything British. Do you see British bands in the Rose Parade? No! The Macy's parade? NO! Any US parades? NO! I think we should do a quid-pro-quo .. you can march in our parades if we can march in yours. hows that?
They pronounced it Winsconsin. I love the Brits. :)
