Shooting the Impact Seal target in my last video was a little under-whelming so this time I'm bringing out some heavy hitters to see if this ball can dance.

Watch as the 5-inch orange ball made of space age polymer that was originally developed for US Marine Corps Sniper training takes some fire from the FN Herstal FS2000, the S&W 629, and finally some .73 caliber, 438 grain (1-ounce) 12 Gauge shotgun slugs at 1600 feet per second using the Benelli SuperNova Tactical.

  • I have one of these targets. I havent tried shooting it with a slug yet but it's taken about 500 rounds of 223 and another 500 or so rounds of various pistol calibers and its holding up pretty well. I'm new to the channel and I'm enjoying the videos> Keep up the good work.

  • @jardo531 Glad to have you along. The ol' orange ball really responds to the 12 ga slugs but it really tears the poor thing apart. Shooting it from the hip with birdshot is fun because you need a center hit to make it really take off.

My first impression of the Impact Seal Target was that I had purchased an overpriced cheesy gimmick but the thing comes in real handy when I don't have a lot of time to drag out the steel targets and just want to pop a few rounds real quick.

  • Shoot those damn crows.. Perfect cover in the wooded area.. Nice vid btw that shogun is sick.!

  • @Tristy1987 Glad you like it, if Glock made a polymer shotgun this is what it would look and feel like.

  • It's easer to deal with than things like a microwave. Now, I'm stuck with a busted up microwave.

  • @mikeb1444 Shot up a VCR with .22 CB shorts down in my basement one boring winter. What a mess that was.

  • 5:00 FLINCH!!!! :)

  • That is a damn beautiful shooting backstop

  • @litlos1994 Whether for hunting or just to shoot, getting into guns is always a positive experience. It's even more fun if you take a hunter's safety course or any other formal training. It is very rewarding to take on the great responsibility of firearms handling and know that you are doing it correctly. Have fun with it.

  • Man thanks for putting this up. My granpa hunts and I might start hunting to get a feel for it. This kind of inspires me.
