SRT-4 vs LS1 GTO- highway pull

From a 50 roll- Inside Dodge SRT-4 with intake and tune against a 2004 6-speed LS1 GTO. raced to ~120 Good run.

Cant belive the gto left srt4 like that. Ls1 gto isnt that fast. I beat one in my heavy ass 300 by a half car length the other night . Full tank with 2 passengers.

@vipeme1 I'm a racing instructor so I actually do know a lot about racing- not everything, but a lot. I've smoked several SRT-4's who spent thousands on suspension and had ~150 more HP than my stock SRT-4. I just feel like this kind of driving on the highway is irresponsible. Highway pulls also are not relevant enough. Pre-entry braking, line selection, smooth throttle/ steering input plays a bigger role than a roll comparison. IE:The 350hp SRT-4's would smoke me from a pull, but still lost.

1) The GTO should be called the GTFO.

2) The SRT-4 was damn near stock, it was supposed to lose by a length or two.

@MARCD832 lol yes, a stock LS1 GTO is slow, lol, they are a 5.3 second 0-60, and car and driver had their pro driver couldnt do any better than a 13.62. thats slow concidering the competition that year was the cobra, and car and driver had the cobra doing 12.7-12.8 in the 1/4 mile with like a 4.5ish 0-60, so almost a full second behind ur only competitor, yeah thats slow. unless u drive a civic :)
