Bio: William Mickelboro started wood burning over 30 years ago. The first pen he purchased was from Maribees Craft store. He discovered finer pens as he got involved in wood carving.

  • @thechoreographer I think he is using a colewood burner and pen. You can get the base unit for 65 on their website, its called a cub burner or something similiar to that. But that is the best deal I have been able to find. Another popular burner is detailmaster but they tend to be a little more expensive from what I have seen. If you are just starting out I would recommend the colewood cub. Hope this helped.

  • alot of pyrographers first decison for wood would be basswood, but you have to be so careful with it you could bite it in half with you're mouth, its is so very soft and easy to scar

  • using a pen sux. i use magnifying glass and the sun!!!! so much better
