This watercolour landscape painting demonstration features the beautiful Buttermere in the English Lake District. The paper is 15" x 11" Fabriano watercolor paper. Brushes used are the large Ron Ranson hake and a number 3 rigger. My regular palette consists of 7 Cotman watercolours - Raw Sienna, Burnt Umber, Light Red, Ultramarine, Lemon Yellow, Payne's Gray and Alizarin Crimson. Have fun and paint along!

  • @xmoaningturtlesx I'm glad the video has helped with your painting. Best of luck with your studies.

  • Hello sir,

I was wondering if you have any tips for drawing those trees in the foreground for I can not seem to get them right.

  • @dbguitar100 the no.1 problem generally seems to be too much water in the mix. Try using more paint and less water. I learned to paint trees watching Frank Clarke and his Simply Painting programme on DVD. Check him out at SimplyPainting . com

  • @WatercolourWorkshop thanks :)

  • @liammokeefe I only started painting 5 years ago so it doesn't take a lifetime to get the hang of it. Obviously I've still got a lot to learn but keep practising and you will get there in the end. Happy painting!

  • oh wow, im 15.... if i could paint like this i would be so happy, long term goal ;3

how long did it take you to get to this standard, asin how long ago did you start to take such an interest into art?
