@Diapasondoro - You are right on target! The pitch is WAY off. She sounds like a pushed soprano here, and it's all wrong. She sounds at LEAST two steps too high. I was shocked when I started listening to this. I can't believe this was posted. It's not flattering to Stignani at all. She sounds like a munchkin.

Thank you! The Italians seem to keep their voices so focused and "collected". If she sounded like this is '51, I can't imagine what it must have been like in the early days of her career.
