I don't know how to run this thing well enough to know if I sent you a partial reply or not but I couldn't find the band Bhang that I remembered , it was not an instrumental and it was from around the time that Atomic Rooster appeared. Captain Beyond features the bass player from Iron Butterfly and Blue Cheer was also the name of a popular type of Acid / Lsd

I would add Leaf Hound, Birth Control, Warhorse, Head Machine, The Gun, Necromandus, Quatermass, Night Sun, Lucifer's Friend, Kadavar... They are all more or less in the same rock/prog vibe than Atomic Rooster, but if one wants to discover prog music thoroughly I highly recommend Progarchives !

Sir lord baltimore, Comus, Black widow, Zior, Budgie, Epitaph ,May Blitz , Paternoster ,Coven , Wishbone Ash

I say forgotten because many people don't know them....these bands (most of them) remained underground without big success
