Engineer JB McCallum at the throttle of MRSR's HLC 17, our 2-8-2T.
This is a tribute to show his mother what he does up there.
There is some nice whistle blowing and an awesome trestle shot in there.

  • thats a 3 chime southern long bell. sounds beautiful when it doesnt squeek.

  • thanks!! we used to double head with our porter engine #5 up that hill all the time, pulling 8 to 10 cars no problem

  • Oh ok. I want to get one on 17 if I ever come up. She's a beautiful steamer.

  • thanks, yeah the 2100 had problems in the beginning but in the end she pulled the hill, the f40 was just used for head end power for the bi-levels.
