Alexi paddling very well indeed for someone who has hardly sat in a 3.5m slalom kayak more than half a dozen times! Very little experience on gate negotiation and technique, and the gimpy playboater helmet gives away that he has not yet fully converted! But I reckon he will as he has that competitive bit now firmly between his teeth. I think this previously ranked Div 3 returnee is destined for Div 1 in 2009 and even has Prem potential if he plugs away at it. Brilliant Alexi......but, erm, as for beating me by a single tenth.....now I have video evidence, I dont think so!
