Fuck what everyone else says, great car mate

@bobkats your right it is a Morris mini cooper
-
wow
-
@bobkats it ain't a cooper though.

@bobkats it's *mostly* correct for a 68 Mini (non-Cooper, as Coopers had the 2nd tank yes) however highly modified as you say the steering wheel replaced with a modern one (not uncommon), wheel arches, mirrors, other bits added, indeed a Mk2 grille- the Mk3 would have an internal bonnet release, this one has the external release. Still, a cool Mini, makes me miss my 68 MkII which lived in Sundre Alberta before being sold and sent down to California :) Thanks for posting PeterHyslop1

The bumpers just lacking the vertical overriders which can be added to them.
The wheel arches are not original.
Tail lights are correct for a MK2.
A 2nd fuel tank was an option for the Cooper S (1275) not the Cooper (998).
Steering wheel is not original.
Grill, again is correct for an MK2.
You can't just fit an MK2 door to a MK3 body! MK2 doors require an entirely diffrent doorframe and they are lower then an MK3 door.

I took another closer look at this car, did anyone else notice, the windows are all bigger, this is and 80's model no doubt about it, the back window is bigger clearly and the side rears, look at the space above. 1968 FAIL

@justforever96 true mate true. I just eget annoyed when folks try and claim something is, when it clearly is not.

@bobkats I lot of peope don't even know there's a difference between an "Austen Mini" and a "Mini Cooper". I blame the new "Cooper MINI", which confuses a lot of folks. But I guess there are thousands who wouldn't even know that the Mini ever existed if not for the new cars, so I can't complain too much. Besides, the new ones aren't such bad cars, all it all. They didn't even come with automatics for the first several years. Now THAT'S something out-of-the-ordinary for modern cars!
I can see lots wrong with this, bumpers, wheel arches, tail lights, no 2nd fuel tank which a 68 had. Steering wheel is incorrect. And it has a mk3 grill. I would say this is a mk3 with mk2 doors . The giveaway for me is the speedo in klm and miles. Not a COOPER at all.
